Our Story

From Data Tinkering to a Full Growth Engine

Most B2B companies don't have a data problem. They have an execution problem. Revenue leaking through broken handoffs, dirty CRMs, and reports nobody trusts.

MergeYourData was founded in 2019 by Dan Saavedra to solve exactly that. After a career in data and systems architecture at Siemens Energy and FIS, Dan saw the same story on repeat: companies investing in tools like HubSpot but never getting the return.

We built a framework to change that. A proven methodology for auditing, cleaning, and restructuring RevOps so the data actually drives revenue. 120+ transformations. 22% average revenue lift in year one. Top 2% of HubSpot Partners.

Clarity and Transparency

We believe confusion is the enemy of progress. In the customer journey, in our internal operations, in how we run our work lives. To have clarity, we also must have transparency. This includes individual, internal, and external information that might not fit the status quo or could be uncomfortable in the short term. We pursue simplicity, precision, and alignment in everything. Then we strive to communicate that with everyone involved.

We believe ownership drives outcomes. We take full responsibility for results, not just effort, and expect the same from those we work with. This includes when things don’t go “right.” We own up to mistakes we’ve made, and are hyper aware of owning a solution to a situation rather than focusing on shifting or avoiding blame.

We believe that the ultimate way to run a business is by always seeking the truth of reality, not relying on assumptions or ingrained patterns. We challenge surface level thinking, ask uncomfortable questions, and let data guide us. Even when it’s uncomfortable or is not favorable for our image.

Good enough isn’t good enough. We set a high bar, care about the details and constantly raise our standards to create work we’re proud of. How we do this is by getting a little bit better every day. Showing up and creating imperfect output each day, then making it a little better every day after that.

We’re different because we focus on the levers that will create the biggest movement. Scaling and growing is about tying together 1% every day, while constantly searching for the actions that will bounce us up to the next level. All without compromising our other values.

How Our Team Is Structured

A Pod, Not a Roster

Every client gets a three-person senior pod — one face, one architect, one builder. The structure is deliberate. It's how we keep strategic thinking sharp, comms clean, and the work moving at the same time.

Client Partner

The face of MYD

Owns the relationship, every client-facing message, and the ClickUp board. Runs the regular cadence, spots risk and opportunity early, and protects the Practice Lead's time so they can think. Retention starts and ends here.

RevOps Practice Lead

The strategic architect

Diagnoses the revenue problem, designs the HubSpot architecture to solve it, and sets build direction for the Technologist. Shows up for QBRs and strategic working sessions — not every weekly call. The brain of the pod, behind the scenes by design.

RevOps Technologist

The builder

Owns every build to the Practice Lead's spec: objects, properties, workflows, automations, integrations, migrations, reports. Handles data hygiene and technical QA. Surfaces constraints back to the Practice Lead instead of guessing.

Every build is specified by the Practice Lead and validated against intent before it ships. You don't get the senior architect on the pitch and someone else's interpretation in the system. The same person who designs the work signs off on it.

ClickUp is the source of truth, not someone's inbox. Tasks, status, decisions, specs, and risk live in one place — visible to you. Weekly status posts in writing. No surprises at QBRs.

Utilization capped to protect quality

We cap pod utilization at 85%. The remaining headroom is what lets us catch issues before you do and absorb the small, urgent requests that always come up in a real engagement. Firms that bill at 100% utilization deliver at 80% quality.

Clear escalation when things wobble

Unhappiness gets a response within four business hours. Architectural risk gets the Practice Lead the same day. Relationship risk gets escalated internally before it becomes a conversation you have to start. Speed of recovery beats avoidance of mistakes.
